- Here with us of course: what we consider one of the best attractions on the West Coast: Our six huge and exciting MURALS Starting at Mountain View Motel why not become part of our fantastic Murals have your photo taken and bring to life yourself as part of the difficult West Coast pioneering life during days of old, or just take a leisurely stroll along the front of motel , sit, relax and just take a moment to reflect.
- Head towards town about a 3 minutes walk and call in at the Heritage Tours office with above or below ground tours, Historic Lake Margaret Hydropower or see what other tours are on offer.
- Speak to the wonderful volunteers at the Galley Museum, Allow plenty of time to troll through the thousands of exhibits, but be warned, you could be captivated for hours, across from the Museum is the Miners Siding with its amazing plaques in the water race culminating in a truly evocative and beautiful sculpture
- straight ahead is the Home of the ABT Railway with its circular turntable go in have a look, great gift shop and cafe. Truly a wonderful sight to see the train come in and be turned around, on the outdoor turntable, ready for the next exciting journey. Children find a huge train and one man spinning it unbelievable.
- Across the road from the train station is one of two art galleries we have in town and that magnificent building the Empire Hotel with its famous Staircase, it really is something not to be missed. Good food is available year round at the Empire.
- Head up Orr street, lots of take aways, gift and souvenir shops for you to get that little something special to take home, why not grab a coffee and a bite to eat while your there.
- Take a climb up to Spion Kop, a great place for your holiday snaps or just to look out over nearly all of Queenstown
- Just a short drive to wild rivers and rafting, to walking trails and mountain tops, beaches and great fishing spots abound on the West Coast.
- Everything you could want for your holiday experience, and of course don't miss out on one of our footy matches, played on the gravel oval. You can't beat the welcoming atmosphere and colour of a local game
- Maybe just a pleasant day lazing around the pool is what you need our pool is open 6 days a week in summer.
- Just a short drive out of town you will come to our golf course open all year then continue on to the home of Huon Pine and many other Timber at Tasmanian Special Timbers, for just a token amount you can get a sample of Huon or pay a little more and pick up a cheese or bread board there's lots of gifts available for you to purchase.
